Terms of Use — Mawed

These terms are the agreement between you and the publisher of Mawed. Using the app means accepting them. They are short on purpose; the Privacy policy, which is part of them, says what is collected and where it goes: https://getmawed.com/privacy/en

1. Your account

You need an account to use Mawed, created with Sign in with Apple or with an email and password. You must be at least 18, and creating an account confirms that you are. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in to yourself.

2. Free and Mawed Plus

Mawed is free to use, with monthly allowances for voice notes and for photo and PDF pages. Mawed Plus is a subscription that raises those allowances and adds features; the paywall in the app shows exactly what each tier includes before you buy.

Price. The one the App Store shows you, in your currency, before you confirm. It can differ by country. Payment is taken by Apple, not by Mawed, and charged to your Apple ID.

Renewal is automatic at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is offered, the paywall says so and for how long; when it ends, the subscription starts and is charged unless you cancelled at least 24 hours before.

Cancelling is done in your Apple ID's subscription settings. Deleting the app or your Mawed account does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling, Plus stays until the end of the period already paid. A purchase can be restored on a new device from the paywall.

Refunds are decided by Apple under its own rules; Mawed cannot issue one. Request it at https://reportaproblem.apple.com

Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be waived.

3. What Mawed can get wrong

Mawed reads what you say, type or photograph with an AI model. It can misread a date, a time, an amount or a name. Check an entry before you rely on it; the app asks you to confirm the parts it is unsure of, but it can be wrong without knowing it.

Reminders and alarms are scheduled on your phone. Whether they arrive depends on your device: notification permission, Focus and silent modes, battery saving, the operating system and whether the app is installed. Mawed cannot guarantee that any reminder will be delivered.

Mawed is not a medical device and not an emergency service. Do not use it as the only way to remember medication, a medical appointment or anything where missing it could cause harm. It gives no medical advice.

4. Using it properly

Use Mawed for your own lawful purposes. Do not break or overload the service, get around its allowances with scripts or automation, reverse-engineer it except where the law allows, access other people's accounts, or use it to store or send anything unlawful.

5. Sharing

You can share one entry with someone by a link you create. Anyone who has the link can open that entry, so share it only with people you mean to. What you share is your responsibility: share only what you have the right to share, including other people's details. You can stop a link from working in the app at any time.

6. Your content

What you enter stays yours. You give Mawed only the permission it needs to store it, process it to create your entries and reminders, and show it to you and to anyone you share it with. Nothing you enter is used for advertising.

7. Ending

You can delete your account in Settings at any time, or ask by email: https://getmawed.com/delete . Deletion is permanent. The publisher may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and may stop offering Mawed; if it stops, you will be told in advance where possible, and you can ask for a copy of your data at support@getmawed.com.

8. Liability

Mawed is provided as it is, without a promise that it will be available, accurate or free of errors all the time. To the extent the law allows, the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for a missed appointment, payment or reminder. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Changes and the law

If these terms change, this page changes and the effective date above changes too. On iOS, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Agreement also applies to the app itself: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. If the Arabic and English texts differ, the Arabic governs.
